About : The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory Is Designed To Examine The Properties Of Fluids And To Conduct Experiments Involving Both Incompressible And Compressible Flow.
Major Equipments : Bernoulli’s Apparatus, Orifice and Mouthpiece, Notches Apparatus, Apparatus For Losses Due To Friction In Pipelines, Apparatus For Losses Due To Pipe Fitting, Sudden Enlargement And Contraction, Venturimeter And Orifice meter, Reynold’s Apparatus, Pitot Static Tube Setup, Metacentric Height Apparatus.

MANUFACTURING PROCESSES Lab

About: This lab focuses on developing the students’ skills towards metal cutting activities, through introducing different metal cutting machines and processes. It also develops the skill of the students towards process planning, machine and process selection. The lab also focuses on machining difficult-to-cut materials using non-traditional machining processes.

Major Equipments: Moisture Tester, Furnace, Mig Welding Machine, Electric Arc Welding, Spot Welding, Milling Machine, Lathe Machine, Drilling Machine, Shaper, Gas Welding Apparatus.

MATERIAL ENGINEERING Lab

About: The Engineering Materials (EM) Laboratory provides students with opportunities to learn important concepts in materials science through experimentation. Students learn how to measure and modify material properties, and perform activities to clarify important concepts. Typically, topics covered are directly relevant to manufacturing processes or product design.

Major Equipments: Metallurgical Microscope, Polishing Machine, Jominy’s And Quench Apparatus, Muffle Furnace.

APPLIED THERMODYNAMICS LAB

About: The Applied Thermodynamics Laboratory Equips the Students with The Practical Understanding And Experience Involved With The Modern Engineering Concept Of Energy Efficiency. It Involves Measuring the Efficiency of Energy Transfer by Testing Calculations And Theories Against Devices Such As Compressors, Heat Exchangers And Engines Within The Laboratory.

Major Equipments: Multi-Cylinder Four Stroke Petrol Engine, Rest Ring With Rope Brake Dynamometer, Single Cylinder Four Stroke Diesel Engine, Cut Section Model Of Actual Single Cylinder Four Stroke Diesel Engine, Separating And Throttling Calorimeter, Two Stage Air Compressor Test Rig, Model Of Babcock And Wilcox Boiler, Model Of Locomotive Boiler.

FLUID MACHINERY Lab

About: This lab has basic fluid mechanics and different flow measuring set-ups such as venturimeter, orifice-meter, rotometer, etc. It has Fluid machinery set-ups, such as, Francis turbine, gear pump, monoblock centrifugal pump, Pelton turbine, reciprocating pump, etc.

Major Equipments: Francis Turbine, Reciprocating Pump, Pelton Turbine, Centrifugal Pump, Centrifugal Blower, Hydraulic Ram.

THEORY OF MACHINES Lab

About: Theory Of Machines Lab Imparts Practical Knowledge On Design And Analysis Of Mechanisms For The Specified Type Of Motion In A Machine. With The Study Of Rigid Bodies Motions And Forces For The Transmission Systems, Machine Kinematics And Dynamics Can Be Well Understood.

Major Equipments: Cam Analysis Apparatus, Static And Dynamic Balancing Apparatus, Gyroscopic Couple Apparatus, Journal Bearing Apparatus, Universal Governor Apparatus, Epicyclic Gear Train Apparatus

HEAT TRANSFER LAB

About: The objective of this lab is to understand the concepts of conduction, convection and radiation practically in various thermal systems to under graduate and Post graduate students through a series of experiments. Students have a fairly good understanding of the theory underlying the experiments and the entire lab course is designed such that classroom lectures precede the lab work. The Heat Transfer Laboratory is equipped with test facilities for doing research with in internal combustion engines for energy conversion.

REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING LAB

About: The aim of the lab is to give a practical insight to certificate, Diploma and degree students for equipments running on Vapour compression cycle. Water cooler and cooling Tower Apparatus has been designed for calculation of C.O.P. and Efficiency of the system. And cut section model of all types of compressors, Air conditioners and condensers are used to give thorough knowledge of their parts, working and maintenance.

Major Equipments: Refrigeration Test Rig, Window Ac Test Rig, Electrolux Refrigerator Test Rig, Ice Candy Test Rig, Domestic Refrigerator Test Rig.

MECHANICAL MEASUREMENT AND METEROLOGY LAB

About: Metrology & Measurement Laboratory is a well equipped laboratory which provides ideas on hands on experience with various measuring instruments to utilize in industries. On evaluating mechanical properties of a given specimen or structure. Apart from curriculum, some additional experimental setups are there which helps the students to enhance their knowledge. Students also get opportunity to implement their ideas through various application oriented micro projects.

Major Equipments: Gear Tooth Vernier Calliper, Feeler’s Gauge, Dead Weight Gauge Tester, Micrometer, Sine Bar, Radius Gauge, Profile Projector, Slip Gauges, Surface Plate, Stroboscope, Surface Roughness Tester, Tool Maker’s Microscope.

AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING LAB

About: This lab is common for mechanical and automobile engineering students with facilities for the students to carry out experiments independently. The lab is well-equipped and enables students to understand the fundamentals of Automotive Engineering which includes basic structure, body style, power plant and wheel & tyre assembly.

About: Strength Of Material Laboratory Provides The Basic Knowledge Of Strength Of Materials And The Students Can Perform Different Tests On Variety Of Materials.
