The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in 2002, initially admitting 60 students in the undergraduate program, which was later increased to 120. Additionally, the department commenced a postgraduate program, M.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering, in 2009. Boasting highly qualified and experienced faculty, the department offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and fully equipped laboratories. Faculty members actively participate in workshops, conferences, and refresher courses to stay abreast of recent developments in the field of Electronics & Communications Engineering.

The undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the Department of Electronics and Communication foster solid technical backgrounds and research capabilities among students, enabling them to excel in their respective fields. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of courses, including power electronics, information technology, automation, robotics and control, and communications, among others. The department is dedicated to preparing students to compete internationally and to develop creative solutions to societal needs while adhering to universal moral values and professional ethical codes. The quality teaching and guidance provided by faculty members have resulted in several rank holders in IKG PTU examinations. Regular interactions between students and faculty facilitate the application of theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. Furthermore, special sessions on topics such as power electronics, communication, and networking are organized to ensure students’ readiness for placement in renowned multinational companies.
